App cloning and cleanup before switching accounts
App cloning (AppsManage) and clearing keychain/sandbox before a new account are open on Home Device. Cloud Device is built around ready-to-use hardware.
These two are the hardest split versus Cloud Device. They need system-level access, so they run on your phone that already has TrollStore or a jailbreak.
Cloud Device is ready-to-use hardware plus the facility US line, in the same console.
App cloning (AppsManage)
Several isolated app environments on one Home Device. For “few phones, accounts must stay apart”.
It is not a substitute for one environment per high-value account. Cloning is a trade between device count and isolation.
Don’t plan Cloud Device flows as if cloning were there.
App-data cleanup
Before a new account, clear the last account’s keychain and sandbox so leftovers don’t chain the two.
Manual cleanup is minutes per phone. In the console it’s a click on the selection, including a whole group.
This is more targeted than deleting the app. System settings, the home screen, and other apps stay.
Versus stock, no-TrollStore farms
Official-test-framework farms can usually mirror and sync taps. They don’t get system-level access, so no cloning and no sandbox wipe. Home Device uses TrollStore or a jailbreak for those two. See Does iPhone group control need a jailbreak?.
